Stuck in McArthur highway river

It's been six years since i swam in Balintawak during a strong Habagat. I was still in the period of adjustment before as i just arrived after living for more than a decade in HK.

I never experienced that kind of baha anymore. I told myself, it only happens once in a blue moon. I never thought that blue moons appear twice.
When i left our office in Monuz, it was already raining cats and dogs but no sign of flood at all.

When we arrived in BBB,  we got stuck in traffic and we helplessly watched as the water started to rise.

As i stared at the window of the aircon bus, i became more depressed. I guess it's really true that one can find so many pains when it rains. I was already feeling so low and my tears started to fall. The man sitting beside me looked at me and he voiced out his concern. "Nabaha din ba bahay nyo"? I didn't really wanna talk so i said "hindi po" and turned to my CP then d window. An unexplainable sadness engulfed me and at that very moment, i wanted to just cry my heart out.

Then i saw groups of people standing in the middle of the road, oblivious to the rain and flood around them. Cars and motorcycles got stuck. A teener even carried his bike as it was almost waist high already. It's as if i was watching a movie.

After another hour, the bus  finally moved and i finally reached my destination.

As i got off the bus, i felt better and let the falling rain calm me and i am pleased that there is no baha in our place.

And as i walked towards our house, i told myself, everything will be OK, just like McArthur highway, which surely will also go back to normal after the rain.

The corpse flower has risen

Where have all the flowers gone? Long time passing. Where have all the flowers gone? Long time ago. Where have all the flowers...
